Dr. Parkins is a native Michigander who has been working in emergency medicine for the last eight years in both the San Diego and Chicago areas. Because of his experience in emergency medicine, he is passionate about preventative care client education to keep pets out of the ER. When he is not working, he spends time running on the beach, sailing, or paddle boarding with his 13 year old Husky, Loki. He is also a co-founder and the CEO of the myBalto Foundation, a 501c3 non profit that helps pets get the care they need by alleviating financial burden on pet owners.
